Data Collection

Data was collected from multiple sources to enable triangulation of data (Yin, 1994). The team chat logs were archived and used as the main data for the study. Emails between team members were also requested from students and analyzed. After completion ofthe project, the team members were interviewed individually. Most interviews were recorded with prior permission and then tran­
scribed. The interviews of students were conducted at various places such as labs and canteens. The interview transcript was used as an additional source of data. The final grades of each project for all teams are recorded as reference too.
