In a special way, several times in a year, in Finland pass «Days of police»: by the coordinated plan students of college of police leave to the remote settlements, meet citizens, tell about preparation of police officers and, thus, explain both the work, and topical news of law-enforcement practice in the current legislation.

(Except told) it is possible to call feature of modern Finnish police and its openness, both real, and virtual. Today, in a century of the Internet and the developed social networks, would be strange not to use their possibility for the solution of authorized tasks.

The police of Finland has an account in Twitter under the name "Suomenpoliisi" (The Finnish police). All notifications of police are immediately published there. Even the national commissioner of police has an account in Twitter. The police wants to cooperate with the public, including in the virtual world, it is a part of preventive work.

Actual problems of prevention of prevention of offenses and crimes are also assigned to virtual policemen (their list with photos of a personnel is available on the corresponding sites and in social networks), distributions of important actual information. Here reasonably consider that on Internet sites in a remote online mode virtual policemen can discuss with the citizen important questions more carefree, than at personal contact, image. One of the purposes of the marked approach – to make police of even less frightening for the public and to encourage the people addressing on the vital issues that in addition raises trust level in society. And certainly, police officers cannot distantly discuss confidential or private information. Therefore, in spite of the fact that any policeman should accept the message on crimes, the rule «always to call 112 in case of an emergency situation» operates prerogativno.

In fact, work of the policeman in any state is difficult and dangerous, connected with work with people. Seldom where police love, in Russia long ago even the pleasant reason «policemen settled love each other, because more nobody loves them». In fact, many in Russia had a belief that police – body punishing. But that касаемо the Finnish police, here it is obvious: those who is anyway dissatisfied with it – minority. Partly and consequently that she really helps to live to law-abiding citizens, as well as should be in any state with "national", instead of narodonezavisimy orientation.

The prototype of the Finnish district police officer in rural areas is well described in literature by the Finnish writer with Aarto Paasilinn’s world name in the novel «Year of a hare» (and in others). The rural policeman in Finland – ленсман. Its tasks almost same, as at Russian Aniskin. But nevertheless in the Finnish police is and much another, more effective, verified in work, and the work vector for citizens is (and not the reverse) traced very accurately. Perhaps, therefore Finns respect the person in a police form.

As to the relation to Russian tourists, it was necessary to hear with undisguised surprise comments of the Finnish constables on our compatriots as about the most disciplined payers of penalties. Here in the police sphere are frank that in principle Russian is not too bad; if to give it money and to accustom to work and responsibility, most likely, extreme measures will not be necessary. But how to explain to Finns, what Russian slyness how aperitif of historical shocks, not to remove in such simple ways?

In the Finnish police (as in law enforcement agencies and other states) there is a small rotation of shots therefore from time to time there are vacancies to positions of policemen. It gives chance to the foreigners who have moved to the PERMANENT RESIDENCE to Finland, having the status of the citizen of the country and corresponding to certain requirements, to join ranks of the Finnish police and the departments entering into the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For example, staff of a border service which here is called as Rajavartiolaitos that in a translation from Finnish means «boundary guard».
