The majority of college students use sexual fantasy (Strassberg & Lockerd, 1998). Many feel little guilt about it and believe it is normal, moral, common, socially acceptable, and more beneficial than harmful. Others, however, feel a considerable amount of guilt about using sexual fantasies. This guilt can cause a person to be less likely to engage in more intimate types of sexual behavior. In one study, college students felt a considerable amount of jealousy about their partner’s sexual fantasies and believed that engaging in sexual fantasy was equivalent to unfaithfulness in the relationship (Yarab & Allgeier,
1998) . Let’s now explore both women’s and men’s sexual fantasies.
