Welcome to the wonderful and sublime world of sex, represented in so many forms and attitudes, shapes and sizes, desires and orientations, cultures and styles the world over.
S-E-X
Sex may be a simple three-letter word, but it keeps the world spinning day after day. If you google ‘sex’, you get roughly 425 million entries, which is more than ‘god’ (365 million), ‘president’ (359 million) and ‘porn’ (104 million), but it doesn’t beat old-fashioned ‘love’ (887 million), a term which admittedly covers a multitude of sins. The World Health Organization estimates there are 100 million acts of human sexual intercourse every day, which sounds conservative in a world with a population of 6.6 billion (in 2007), which is increasing by over 200,000 every day. Yes, people like sex.
