This Egor Ivanovich Blankennagel (apprx. 1750-1813) – the son of the obrusevshy German who has located in Russia at Ekaterina II, the graduate of artillery military school was a curious figure. And preferences gave it such that just right to modern businessmen to envy: the 50-thousand returnable loan for 20 years with repayment from treasury of percent in the first 10 years, the right to sell everywhere «at the free prices alcohols manufactured by it to 1000 buckets» and other very essential privileges.

However, the monopolist Egor Ivanovich stayed not for long: in 1810 10 sugar plants in the Tula, Oryol, Ryazan, Tambov, Penza and Kaluga provinces worked.
… In July, 1812 prince Dmitry Mikhaylovich Volkonsky (1769-1835) made in the diary record about a dinner with Blakennagel in club. Egor Ivanovich died, without having managed to liquidate a debt. The plant in Alyabyev endured it on half a century and burned down in the middle of the 1860th years.
