The fallacy of the workplace as a source of fulfillment

One of the biggest fallacies of the women’s movement was expecting work to mean power and self-fulfillment Employers wouldn’t have to pay people if they were giving away power and self fulfillment. For those employees able to feel freedom and fulfillment on the job — well, more power to ’em Hut the average man knows the employer is paying to use his body during work in exchange for freeing his body after work. Additional benefits from the employer come from creating additional benefits for the employer They are not expeaed, they are earned At least that’s the way the average man sees it.

But how does understanding this traaslate into the way we interact with men every day?
